Two days before i left for Goa, i got an email saying the lens was available. Within seconds, i was logged into Flipkart and had made the purchase! I had just bought myself a telephoto! Yaaaaaaaaaay!
Unfortunately, it didn't arrive in time to carry it to Goa. The first thing i did when i got back, though, was to check out the lens and take a few pictures to see how it would do.
It. works. beautifully.

It's not motorised, but that's alright because i've been shooting on manual for quite a while now. The lens is a little heavy and it doesn't have a vibration minimising feature, so my hand tends to shake a little bit and the pictures show it. But between rigorous practice at holding my hand still and the Gorillapod, i should be able to manage just fine.
A sewing machine, a telephoto lens and an awesome holiday in Goa. This year is turning out to be goooooood! (Crossing fingers, touching wood, warding off the evil eye and all that.)
