Weekends are a sign of week end.

Enh, never mind. Don't try figuring the title out. My brain's on switch off mode since i put in my papers, so i type in the first thing that comes to my useless head.

I have kind of forgotten why i even started the post. But then, who ever remembers why we write posts anyway? Some write to talk about how wonderful their life is, or how sucky. Some to prove to the world that they are knowledgeable, some others to make the world believe that they are good critics, writers, lab rats, eccentrics... oh wait, i remember why i started this post.

I cooked over the weekend. Sabudana vadas and Baigan ka Bharta. Both, for the first time. And boy, did they turn out absolutely professional. Like, bang on. I think i must have inherited my culinary genes from my mother. Well, at least something to do her proud with.

In other news, i went for another wedding - a friend who was getting married a second time. Officially, that is. And then i went for a Christmas Turkey Dinner Party - met lots of new, interesting people, felt totally out of place and therefore was quiet most of the time. My eyes strayed to a huge world map on the wall and i was hooked. I put to test my new and improved geographical knowledge (Courtesy Geo Challenge on Facebook) by figuring out which place was where. Needless to say, my score was lesser than what i usually get on the game, but good enough to save face if somebody should suddenly ask me, "Hey, where's Croatia?"

Oh, i am also a proud owner of a brand new limited edition Billy Bookshelf. It looks like this:

It's the one to the right, and it has Shakespeare's sonnets graffiti-d on it. All over. I was quite tempted by the Manga cartoons on the left, but being the literature junkie i am, Shakespeare was an obvious choice. (Although i would have loved some metaphysicals instead, but apparently at Ikea that's not Donne.) Classic BW won over bright red and candy green.

Oh lordy. My fingers tingle every time i see it. Can't hardly wait to set it up.

And and and and and! I'm gonna have my Nikon Digi-SLR by end of year! Yippee yoo hoo! It has been a fabulous year!

Uh, online i guess. Ikea had a special edition thingie going. Got to know because of Jamaal - in fact, he's the one who bought it for me. It's with him, he should be shipping it soon.
